For over 100 years, Claresholm
has been an ideal place to call home! Whether you are a
young family, or a couple looking for an ideal spot to
retire, we have it all - health facilities, schools,
recreational venues, and a dynamic town full of
volunteers!
Excellent health facilities including a hospital with
24-hour emergency, long-term care facilities and busy
health unit are some of the reasons you should look at
calling Claresholm 'home'. Our schools are wonderful
places to visit and to attend,
if you should happen to have school-aged children. We
currently have three
schools - elementary, a middle school and a high school
with excellent programming.
Claresholm has a brand new public library that offers
many services including Internet access and programming
for all ages.
We also have wonderful recreational facilities in
Claresholm. Our 18-hole golf course is the envy of other
towns and we encourage you to stop for a round of golf
on your way through town. We have an indoor swimming
pool, complete with hot tub, that offers all levels of
swimming lessons and fitness activities. A new
four-diamond baseball complex is located on the north
end of Claresholm and local groups host some fun ball
tournaments in the summer. Volunteers have worked hard
to finish our lighted football field and the town loves
to get out to the high school football games in the
fall.
To the West, the foothills offer a beautiful trip across
to Highway 22, or The Cowboy Trail. Many bed and
breakfast facilities are located west of town and a
brief stay is relaxing and enlightening for local
citizens or visitors to the area.
Volunteers are the backbone of our town and we encourage
you to become one of them! It is truly a great
experience to assist in hosting one of our annual events
such as Canada Day or Fair Days in August. Volunteers
are why Claresholm has prospered over the last 100
years... due to the hard work and dedication of our
citizens.
Join us this year, for a visit or for a place to call
home.
